Development Timeline
Axon Parkinson is being developed step by step, with continuous feedback from patients and ongoing improvements to functionality and usability.
Project Initiation
The concept and first designs for Axon Parkinson were created. The focus was on building a simple and accessible way for patients to track symptoms and medication.
Beta Release
A first beta version was released to early testers. Feedback from users helped refine the symptom diary and improve usability.
iOS App Store Launch
Axon Parkinson was officially released on the Apple App Store with core features including symptom tracking and medication reminders.
International Availability
English and Spanish language support was added and the app was released in additional regions including Spain and the United Kingdom.
Android Development
Development of the Android version of Axon began in March. Beta testing starts in April, with the first release on Google Play planned for May 2026.
Apple HealthKit Integration
Integration with Apple HealthKit on iOS to enable seamless health data synchronization, allowing users to connect their existing health metrics with Axon Parkinson for a more comprehensive view of their wellbeing.
Product Improvements & Reporting
This phase focuses on improving the user experience and expanding the app's knowledge content. The structure of downloadable symptom reports will also be improved to make it easier for users to share their data with doctors and caregivers.
Wearable Integration
Integration with wearable devices such as smartwatches is planned. This may enable passive health insights, including tremor patterns and fall-related signals.
Axon Parkinson aims to support patients in understanding their symptoms over time while enabling optional, privacy-respecting contributions to Parkinson's research through anonymized data sharing.
